Aston Martin’s performance-focused flagship SUV, the DBX S, has been awarded “Super SUV of the Year” by BBC Top Gear, one of the most respected and influential voices in the global automotive world.

In its evaluation, the Top Gear editorial team described the DBX S as “almost an archetype,” highlighting how subtle yet highly effective refinements elevate it beyond conventional performance SUVs. The editors praised the car for combining a feral, characterful and distinctly British personality with remarkable precision, exceptional speed and genuine day-to-day usability—qualities that define a true Super SUV in real-world conditions.

Positioned as the new flagship of the DBX range, the DBX S represents the most focused interpretation of Aston Martin’s SUV philosophy to date. At its heart lies an enhanced version of the brand’s acclaimed 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, benefiting from turbocharger technology transferred directly from the upcoming Valhalla supercar.
